Peter McKeon, Partner, FCA

Admitted to The Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1977 and granted his degree of Fellow in 1990. Peter, along with Stephen Armstrong, re-established the accounting firm W F Allworths & Sons which had commenced in 1897 by forming a new partnership registered as “Allworths” in April 1995. Prior to this, Peter was a senior partner in Chapman & Eastway, joining them in September 1978 after several years with another medium sized firm. He practices in the general field of accountancy and taxation for a wide variety of clients and has been responsible for several successful management buyouts of subsidiaries of public companies. He has wide experience in financial restructuring and re-organisation of family controlled businesses and has been involved in profitability studies of various types of businesses. Peter has for many years specialised in rural accounting for many of Australia’s senior pastoral families. These clients conduct extensive farming and grazing operations including well-known sheep and cattle studs. He is a member of the Taxation Institute of Australia and a Justice of the Peace.

Stephen Armstrong, Partner, B. Fin. Admin, FCA

Admitted to The Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1984. Prior to establishing the partnership of Allworths, Stephen Armstrong was a partner in the firm Chapman and Eastway. Stephen obtained his degree from the University of New England in 1981, and worked for a small accounting firm for two years, gaining exposure to the accounting and taxation of small and medium sized business clients. Following graduation, he was employed by a large international accounting firm. There he gained audit experience, dealing with a variety of medium and large size clients including merchant banks, manufacturing, international real estate and computer companies, as well as considerable experience in dealing with the taxation of complex public company groups. He was then seconded to the audit division of the London office of the firm. As part of his functions he became temporary financial controller of a large international company. Following his return to Australia his time was split between the financial accounting and audit sections of the firm. He attended to financial matters for a variety of clients ranging from small business to international companies and played an active role in the establishment of overseas businesses in Australia. He is a Justice of the Peace.

Mark Copsey, Partner, FCCA

Admitted to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (United Kingdom) in 1997, Mark became a Fellow in 2002. Mark is originally from England and joined Allworths in 1996 and became a partner on 1 July 2005. Mark was employed for his auditing experience and since joining the firm, he has become the Special Projects Manager where he is responsible for auditing, due diligence assignments, voluntary liquidations, cash flow forecasting and new business appraisal. He has also completed the Australian conversion course in Taxation Law and Corporations Law. He is also a Justice of the Peace.
